Hi,

I'm not sure if my problems are caused by SimpleImageGaleryPRO or if the (shared)server is just too slow to run Joomla (and the SIG) on it.
Most of the times when you try to load one of the galery pages on my site you get this:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /mnt/web5/42/14/********/htdocs/plugins/content/jwsigpro/sigpro_engine.php on line 156

I know, the fontpage is already kind of slow (www.beutz.com) but I got the feeling that the SIG is doing more work on every time a galery is loaded.
Try www.beutz.com/don-juan.html if you get the same error and an idea of what's going wrong there.

I will move the page to a different server in a couple of months, which will be specialized for CMS sites, but it should work till then, at least slow.

Just got another/different error on the same problem. This time ist in line 72 of the sigpro_engine.php file.

Probably you have many images and the server cannot create in 30 secs the thumbs.
Please, set the maximun_execution_time to 60 or 120!

You can do that through the php.ini file!

I've only got 8 images per gallery (folder) at this time, so I think the server is just not good enough for Joomla and scripts that use more than the usual amount of resources that small scripts use.
As it is just a hosting contract I have, not a full server where I could change the php.ini easily, I guess I have to wait till I can change to a better hoster than Strato.  :'(

Found some usefull advice how to change the execution time on Strato. And it works now! Thanks!  :D
Now it's still pretty slow for the first gallery page to load, but it loads without error.
Any idea why this could be with only 8 images in each gallery ???
