Please Help Urgent now!! Getting an error message instead of thumbnails was created by micheal chan

Im trying to show some galleries but where there should be thumbnails displayed im getting an error message 'problem generating thumbnail' but if you click on this the large image is still shown. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?

Strange thing is i have other galleries that work.

Any help at all would be very much appreciated as I been trying to fix this problem for 2 days now
