Can't customize SIG PRO was created by Núria Murlà Ribot
Hi.

I've been using Simple Image Gallery for some weeks and today I've bought Simple Image Galery PRO. I'm having some problems trying to create new image galleries.

I go to Plugin Manager > Content- Simple Image Gallery PRO and try to resize thumbrails, but it doesn't work. I've thought it may occur because I still got Simple Image Gallery plugin enabled. When I don't enable Simple Image Gallery plugin and enable Content- Simple Image Gallery PRO appears this error in my articles: . Warning: opendir(/var/www/sd78-artemagazine/galgos112.com/datos/web/images/stories/adopcion/ernesto:100) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /var/www/sd78-artemagazine/galgos112.com/datos/web/plugins/content/jwsig.php on line 100
I also changed language from English to Spanish and it still shows everything in English. And changed popup window navigation tip mesage and still appears the default one.

What can I do to solve it? Do I have to uninstall Simple Image Gallery plugin? Will I loose all my old image galleries )I can create them again)?

Thank you

Edit: my joomla version is 1.5.7, and my URL is www.galgos112.com

Hi my friend!

Can you give us a direct link to the gallery? We need to check out the source code.
Also, do you use the sig free and sig pro in the same site?
It's better use only the sig pro, otherwise there will be conflicts!

What code you give at the content item?
Something like this? {gallery}folder/subfolder{/gallery}
Because the error of the server says that it can't find the folder!

Thank you!

Hi vinkey.

Thank you for your fast reply.

I attach a link to an article with photo gallery created ytesterday: www.galgos112.com/index.php/fotos-galgos-menu/162-fotos-sandra-casa

At this moment, I think I've got two SIG, free version and PRO version. I attach a print so you can see my plugin manager:

File Attachment:
File Attachment:

There are 2 SIG enables:
- Content - Simple Image Gallery PRO
- Simple Image Gallery Plugin

My template is JSN Epic 2.0 PRO

And this is my website general view:

When I don't enable or uninstall Simple Image Gallery Plugin (wich I think is the free version)my template crashes. I only can see this:

Tonight I will try what happens when I don't enable or unisntall Simple Image gallery using my iMac (now I'm on my iBook).

If I don't enable Content- Simple Image Gallery PRO nothing happens to my template. I can see my website the way it is. And I cann see old and new image galleries (also the ones created with SIG PRO installed)..

The code I give is {gallery}fotos/sub_folder{/gallery} I've created fotos folfer into images/stories folder.

If you need anything else, please, let me know!

Than you.

Hi my friend!

Thank you for all those info!  ;)

First of all we have to uninstall the sig free!
You will have a lot of conflicts if you use the 2 plugins in the same time!

After that we have to check 2-3 params.
If you use SIG Pro at a Joomla 1.5, you must have the names of the images
with lowercase without spaces in the names.

Check also the permissions of the folder where the thumbs are stored. This folder must have permissions 644 or 777.

In the end, change the sig pro engine to Lytebox, Greybox or Litebox. Those engines don't use the mootools js library.
We have to do that because your template loads already the mootools library and this action could present conflicts with the slimbox engine ( default engine ) of the sig pro.

You can try all the to a demo page of your site, if you don't want to make changes at your frontend part of your site.

Thank you!

Hi vinkley.

I'm trying to do everything you say, but the problem is still here.

As I said before, if I unistall SIG (free version) the whole page crashes. I've tried to install SIG PRO in a page with no SIG free version and everything is alright.

I can't change images/stories/temp permissions from 755 to 777, but in the other page permissiona are also 755 and it works fine.

I've tried to keep SIG free verion installed and change SIG PRO parameters, but it doesn't work, but I can't unisntall SIG free version beacuse my page crashes.

I attack a print with the message I get when I try to create new galleres with SIG PRO (folder and pics names are in lowercase and no spaces):

I know I should uninstall SIG free version, but if I do I loose all my website, so, I don't kno what more can I do.

Thank you.

P.S: Here, you've got a link to my website. Maybe it would help: www.galgos112.com

Hi vinkley. More info:

I've unisntalled SIG free version and SIG PRO, and everything has been alright (my web didn't crash when I uninstall both plugins)

Here you've got a caption of how a website's article looks when there's no plugins intalled:

File Attachment:
File Attachment:

I've installed SIG Pro again, but not enable it, and everything has been alright again. My website still has the same aspect:

File Attachment:

Then I've enabled SIG PRO (changing slimbox to greybox) and the same page has appeared that way:

File Attachment:
File Attachment:

The good thing is that now, when I install SIG Pro with no SIG free, doesn't crash doesn't crash. Now just crashes pages with SIG galleries on their content.

I hope this new info will be useful to solve my problem :)

SOLVED!

I uninstalled SIG free and reinstalled SIG PRO. Then I created a new folder into images/stories and it works. I think the problem was in some file extensions that weren't in lowercase.
