PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds - are you kidding me?

I'm assuming this time-out occurs because the thumbnails are being created. I have "single thumbnail display mode" set, so why does the plugin create a thumbnail for every image in the gallery?

I realize that I need only adjust php.ini to more than 30 seconds, but do you really think it's acceptable for users to wait 1 or two minutes for a gallery to be created?

I have my gallery set to show 1 thumbnail, so why do I need to crunch through creating thumbnails I won't be using?

Is it necessary to create thumbnails every time a user visits the gallery beyond thumbnail cache expiration times? Can't the thumbnails be stored?

I have one gallery page with 6 "single thumbnail mode" galleries on it. This page grinds on for an eternity. I need to organize my content in this way, which is why I bought your plugin. Unless you can provide me with a suitable workaround, this thing is worthless to me. Even worse is the fact that I spent 8 hours creating dozens of galleries, which are now completely useless unless I can find a way for them to populate through a user request in a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks

EDIT---> I was able to override php.ini on the shared server (I don't have direct access to php.ini) so that there was enough time to create the  thumbnails.

The gallery doesn't load the images dynamically! The script needs all the images preloaded to do the effect. The "Single mode" just hides all the images except the first one! You could see that at our demo page!

Is it necessary to create thumbnails every time a user visits the gallery beyond thumbnail cache expiration times? Can't the thumbnails be stored?

The sig Pro has already a cache system. Have you checked this thread yet?

We have already mentioned that all those gallery systems, based on statics "lightbox" effects, need all the images preloaded.
If the images are more than 30-40 ( total number of images of all galleries, on a single web page ) then the server will have difficulties rendering and creating thumbnails for all those images! The gallery doesn't load the images via any Ajax script.

Thank you!
