I created text file and placed in the image directory as
directed, but the captions/labels of the photos doesn't work.

Anyway have any idea of the problem. I using most current
version of Joomla 1.5.8 and most current version of SIG Pro

I think this question is in the wrong area but it is my issue as well. Do you have to have Simple Image PRO for this to work? Thanks.

same problem for me on Joomla 158 and SIG Pro, labels.txt doesn't work.
I tried all the solutions given on the forum... nothing works  :(

Hi there!

If you click onyou'll see the lines3 lines, where the first one is quite empty and this line creates the issue.
I believe that the label.txt isn't saved as UTF-8, or is used a programm that can't create
utf-8 files witht the right encodes.

Try to open the labels.txt file with notepad++ and save it as utf-8
The code inside the file must be like that

I saved the fileand I opened with the Zend editor and i saw that ( labels.jpg )
As you can see, in the first character we have the "hidden" character " ";
This means that the file wasn't saved as utf-8 with the right mode. Probably cause of the editor.
Try the labels.txt file I uploaded for you!
