Migrate to 1.5 was created by C Teeuwen
Hi,

I want to migrate an joomla 1.0.15 site with SIG pro to joomla 1.5.8

Now I know I have two plugins for SIG pro, one for 1.0.x and one for 1.5.x. So I'm guessing I can install SIG pro in my migrated site.

But how are my galleries migrated? I am not sure if the joomla migrator will take care of the galleries? Or does it, cause the galleries are part of the images/stories/ folder?

Corine

Hi there!

Well, if that tool migrate the images/stories folder, I believe you won't have any problem.
The paths will be the sames. I never have used this tool and I'm not sure about what folders
it migrate. Take a backup of your site before you do it!

Of course, after the migration uninstall the old sigpro and install the sigpro for j!1.5

Thank you!

Thank you for your response. Yes, it takes care of the regular joomla tables, just not tables created by third parties. So you with SIGpro don't create your own tables, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I have a back up, and a brand new environment to experience in, so I'm going to give it a try.

It's my first migration project, so it's kinda exciting!

Anybody who wants to know if it worked, just yell, and I will post an update here in a few days :-)
