I am gamely trying to configure some SIG Pro galleries to match what a client wants before I can launch their site. I am using the Classic layout template, Smart thumbnail resize disabled.

The client wants their thumbnails to be just much smaller versions of the full large image that is displayed in the popup - NO cropping.

I don't see a control for this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Of course you can, You need to tweak the "Smart thumbnail resize based on above dimensions" setting and clear Joomla!'s cache afterwards.

Thank you! I think part of the problem was not clearing the caches. It is still not clear to me how the relationship between the viewport size and the thumbnail display actually works, but I am looking into it.

I would also like to keep the aspect ratio of my images, but setting "Smart thumbnail resize" to "disabled" doesn't seem to make a difference.
Is this even possible when I choose the responsive layout?

As the developer noted, you must change the setting and make sure to clear your Joomla! cache. This works reliably.

I have Simple Image Gallery Pro and disabling Smart Thumbnail Resize, clearing all Joomla cache and setting Thumbnail Cache Expiration time to 0 did not get it to work. Pretty frustrating. What's going on?
