SIG works, SIGPRO does not!?! was created by logicbox
Hello -

Anyone have any insight as to why Simple Image Gallery would work but Simple Image Gallery PRO would not on the same site?

In fact, if I change the filename in the plugin (from jwsigpro to jwsig) the extension works, but change it back and it's broken again.

Strange uh?

chicago.directrouter.com/~ambience/

The only reason I purchased PRO is because I want to display only one thumbnail rather than the whole gallery. If there's any way of adding that functionality to the free version, I am cool with that. Of course, it'd be good if PRO worked....

I am working on a client site, so this is kind of important.

Hoping someone can help.

Cheers,
ROBERT

Of course the sig pro works! ;)
I've just seen your template and is full of javacripts
( mootools and jquery runs together! )

Some of the engines of sig pro load also those js libraries with result a js conflict.
However, there are 1-2 engines that load some other js library
Try to use the Greybox or Litebox.

If you want to use an engine that needs mootools or jquery, you have to remove the line
from the code of the sig pro which load again that js library.

Thank you!

Hi again!

With "no" do you mean that the Greybox ( and all the other ) doesn't work?
Can you please leave the engine with Greybox
and send me a direct link to the gallery
to check out the js error from firebug?

Also, an account will be very helpful. Probably I'll need to change the options of Sig pro.

Thank you!

It's all cool. Fixing the problem is a little beyond where I am at, at the moment. Something to spend a little spare time getting up to speed on.

The RokBox extension almost does what I need it to do and I've used that as it's perhaps more compatible with the site, but unfortunately RokBox doesn't do the job anywhere near as easily as SIG does.

I think Greybox worked actually, but the popup style was broken, and it wasn't really what the client wanted for the site.

So I've shelved SIG for the moment, at least until my understanding of js improves, or I use a different template.

Thanks for the attentive support though.
