I´m using Simple Image Gallery PRO v1.2 and Joomla 1.5.8
After installing and loading three images up to my webspace using a ftp-programm I tested the plugin.

Unfortunately I just can see the frames on the website, even if it works and opens the image after clicking into the white space inside the frame. I was wondering so I checked if there are any thumbnails being created. I followed the path by typing in the URL and found out, that there are just white thumbnails created!!
I checked again and used the ftp-programm to download all of this three thumbnails from my webspace and it´s true, they´re all white!

Does anyone knows where the problem is? I don´t want to have to create all the thumbs by me one. So it would be great to get some Infos!

I had the same problem.

Changed all the filenames to make them web friendly with no spaces or characters other than letters, underscores, or numbers and it works fine now.

Should check your filenames in that folder you have the plugin pulling from.

Hi, change extension of image file .JPG to .jpg, or .GIF to .gif, ....

I'm having the same problem, thing is whenever I posted new images or just change the folder name, it shows the thumbnails at the first time, but when i refresh the browser, it goes white again.

Ok, what I think it has something to do with the thumbnail cache expiration time, so it created the right thumbnail for the first time, and then when cache expires, they created white thumbnails.

Oh, and in IE it shows this error message on the page with SIG Pro.

Error: 'this[...]' is null or not an object

I found out that the thumbnail file they created don't exist in the cache directory, but i have make sure that the dir is chmod to 777, to files and sub dirs, so what is the problem now?

Update:

This is confirmed, the files created by SIG Pro in my joomla cache folder are erased automaticly and almost immadiately, maybe its not considered as Joomla cache files or something?

Please Moderators/Admins, I need help for this.

Have you tried disabling the cache from your global configuration and see what happens? Also you could enable the debug mode inside the plugin and see whether or not if there is a specific error.

Yes apparently it works when I turned Cache off, but after a week, my site could not handle loading without Cache turned on it become really really slow. If this is the problem in the cache directory, can I refer the SigPro to a different folder? I can chmod that folder to 777 as well.

And I am also trying to install Xcache rather than use Joomla File cache, but this will depend on my admin.
