I would like to know if is possible to disable the thumbnail creation?

My problem is that I don’t have access to change permissions to the site I’m using. I was using before the simple image free version without problem but  with the pro version I have the problem that the plugin is trying to write to the temp folder but it doesn’t have the permissions.

I'm afraid that this version of sig pro needs the temp folder to store the thumbs.
I believe if you ask your server administrator to help you with that he'll do it.
The tas isn't so difficult for him!
