I installed the "FREE" Simply Image Gallery, Added simply {gallery}test{/gallery} to an article after I put some images in a TEST directory under /images/stories.. just like it siad.. It all works great.. SOLD ME! .. think I will buy PRO version.

Bought the PRO version within 15min.. removed the "FREE" version, Installed the PRO version.. Used the SAME article I just created.. using the same images /TEST  that I used during the FREE version.. Now all I get is some LONG ERROR MESSAGE" Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5152 bytes) in /data/18/1/102/7/1754496/user/1896058/htdocs/plugins/content/jwsigpro/sigpro_engine.php on line 72"

I'm tired now.. need to sleep..

Any help would be greatful.. otherwise I must get a refund

Hi there!

The server doesn't give the necessary memory to the script for the creation of the thumbnails.
You can search this forum about "Allowed memory" and you'll find some interesting info!
The usual fix is to modify the php.ini and give more available memory to php.

I just don't understand Why the "FREE" plugin works fine..

I made the change to the php.ini.. increased to "12M" ..

Now I get the following error:

I did the patch , now all I get showing up on the screen is the command line that I entered in the Article!  [gallery]test[/gallery]

I tried it twice think I might have a type... 2nd time I did a cut and paste from the suggested "Patch". Still didn't work!

I simply stopped using it..

After I put the default .php back in.. I then tried the "lowercase" on the photos.. and everything worked.. However, I had already uploaded 406 Images to the site.. and after 3 hours and several "patch" attempts I had to say enuf.. I'm still amazed that the "FREE" plugin works without instance.. I moved on to a nice PhotoGallery product called Phoca Gallery that works nicely ..

I'll have to pursue getting a refund on a plugin that simply does not work for me.. this is my first return attempt on a joomla extension. I'm also a registered "FrontPage Slideshow" customer, and that works without issue...

Now about that refund!...

I'm very curious why this patch didn't work for you, cause none other client reports something similar after the inclusion of the patch.
I would really like to check it out this issue in action, but if you don't want it's ok.

The plugin works and it was tested under various templates. But always we find templates that preload several js in the head section. This action provokes a lot of problems to the 3rd part developers but this is out of our responsibility.

Also we provide custom help for any other issue and we give a look to the site personally.
