Url link popup images was created by valerie vanderlooy
Hello!

I'd wander, with the label.txt you can put some information in the popup images,
but is it possible to put an extern link on these labels?

if it is possible, how to do it?

thanks very much!
:D

Yes, you are right!
This works only with the text of the popup and not with the label of the thumb...
This happens because of the not parsing of the symbols "<" etc.

Do you want the link inside the label or inside the popup?
If you want the link inside the label, this link will not be clickable because the click event is used for the "lightbox" effect.

You can search this forum for a hack where we can use different text for the label and different for the popup. If you do this hack, you will be able to use the <a> tag for the text of the popup with the results you want!

Thank you!

I am trying to add a external link as well and the a href works in the pop up, but I see the code in the thumbnail, which looks pretty bad and overlaps the other thumbnails. Is there a way to have the code for the a href not show up in the thumbnails and only shop up in the pop up?

I just looked up that hack you posted about having the two separate labels. That totally solves my problem, and its super cool! Hats off to who ever figured that out. That really should be part of the source code.

Hi JoomlaWorks Support Team –

The following post relates to EXACTLY what I want to do but I can't locate the hack! I have tried searching... but to no avail.

Can you provide a link to this helpful post: we can use different text for the label and different for the popup.

In advance, thank you!
