- In "single thumbnail" mode, the thumbnail now aligns to the left by default and all surrounding text will wrap nicely around the thumbnail. If you want to override this behaviour, use a template override as explained above.

the above mentioned alignment doesn't work for me.
The single thumbnail mode is enabled within the {gallery} tag at my content.
At the backend I have the normal mode enabled. Tried to enable there the single thumbnail mode but this doesn't work either.
