Just purchased SIG Pro v2 and got it working successfully in my article content.  However, when I try to display that same content via the Joomla newsflash module, it just renders the text as entered:  {gallery}myphotos{/gallery}

Is there something in particular I need to do to display galleries from a newsflash module?

The newsflash module of joomla doesn't parse the content plugins ( sig pro is one of them ).
You have to modify that module ( php code ) in order to do that.

Search the joomla.org forum about how to make a module parses plugins
and use the code you'll find.

This needs some knowledge of php code.
