Can't get SIG Pro 2.04 to work was created by James Toner
Greetings;

This is my first post to the forum as a Joomla newbie, so please excuse the lack of knowledge which will be self evident.

First the environment I am running under

PHP Built on:  Linux blaze.quadkore5.com 2.6.18-92.1.18.el5 #1 SMP Wed Nov 12 09:19:49 EST 2008 x86_64
Database Version: 5.0.77-community
Database Collation: latin1_swedish_ci
PHP Version: 5.2.9
Web Server: Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
Web Server to PHP interface: cgi
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.11 Production/Stable [ Vea ] 03-June-2009 03:30 GMT

I have installed Linkr, SIG Pro 2.0.4, and Advanced Tools

I updated my Joomla installation to 1.5.11 (from 1.5.10) via the Advanced Tools Update Manager

I am unable to get SIG to display anything. All that shows up on my content page is the SIG Code  {gallery}My_Photos{/gallery}

I have checked for GD Image Library, and it appears to be enabled, and I also checked that the cache was writable. I am already beyond my depth at this point and would appreciate some help. I have turned on debug and if someone wants to look at the output when the page in question is generated, go to 66.71.248.74/~birdseye/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&catid=5:photo-galleries&id=21:custom-home-gallery

I can also send pdf version of all the System information screens if that might be helpful.

My gut feeling is that I am missing something basic, but I do not have enough experience yet with Joomla to see it.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Maybe it's the slash (/) @ the last {/gallery}??

Thanks for getting back to me. That definitely was a coding problem, but I don't think it was my real problem. I was playing around with different picture folders trying to get it to work, and only made that mistake in my last attempt before turning to the forum.

I think the actual problem was that I needed to enable web services in the Global Configuration-->System Settings. That seems to have solved my problem.

But thanks again for pointing out the missing /. I would have been pulling out what was left of my hair.
