Hi have a conflict between Simple Image Gallery Pro and ARISoft Smart Data. After working with the folks at ARISOft, they concluded the following:

"It [the conflict] occurs because 'ARI JFlexGrid' uses jQuery javascript library and 'Simple Image Gallery PRO' uses it too. 'ARI Smart Content' supports ability for disabling jQuery loading and call noConflict method or not, but 'Simple Image Gallery PRO' doesn't support it and clears Jflexigrid from jQuery plugins namespace."

Is it the case that SIG is clearing out another plug-in?

Here is the site: www.uwchipsi.com/traditions/a-fraternity-of-excellence

ARISoft had me change the load order for ARISoft to first and SIG to last. That allowed the one article that has both an ARISoft table and a SIG gallery to work correctly. But, as you can see, all the other ARISoft tables in the same Joomla section are broken.

Have you tested all available Popup engines for image galleries from the plugin? For instance have you tried to change from a JQuery library to a slideshow library (Lytebox or Highslide)?

I have not tried that and I will. The reason I did not try it is I am uncertain of the consequences and choices (I am not technical).

Does it matter which engine I use? Can I just be indifferent as to the choice? Everybody seems to use the JQuery engine. Is there a reason for that?

Most people use the JQuery engine because the mootools are already loaded by default in a joomla site and there will probably have a conflict in case they are using something in their page that request mootools. The library can't be loaded twice.

The only thing that will change is the box that the photographs are opened in. So don't worry about the consequences. The worse case scenario is to crash the browser when the window opens.

Try different engines and let me know.
