Testing K2 with free SIG and could not get it to work, so I purchased SIG PRO 2 thinking it was required for K2 to accept zip file uploads to create gallerys from. I still get the same error that I got with the free version of SIG?

UNKNOWNARCHIVETYPE
Gallery upload error: Cannot extract archive!

I am uploading a valid zip archive with only 2 jpg images in it and no matter what I do I get the error above. All other joomla uploads work fine.

Since it seems that the only way I can create a gallery for a K2 item is to upload a zip file I am really stuck?

Really need the gallery feature for K2 or else I will need to find another solution but I like K2 so far except for this issue

It seems that this error is a result of some permissions problem.

In the joomla archive code if I check the ext that is being returned it returns the
folder path to media/k2/galleries and there is no zip filename so the extension
does not match the list of valid extensions

I changed permissions on the media folders to 777 and it made no difference, and the
archives are not being placed into the media folders where joomla is trying to extract them from?

What folder paths need to be changed to make SIG plugin able to upload and extract archived images?

I did some more tests and there is something in the upload code that does not allow me to upload zip or rar files. I tried uploading an attachment to an item and it says it was successful but when you view the attachement in admin it shows a blank file name and the file does not exist in any folders on the server.

If I upload a jpg as the attachment it gets saved correctly.

Is there somewhere in Joomla where we have to specify allowed mime types or file extensions that would affect K2?
