expanding the popup window (highslide) was created by newt
Hi,
Is there anyway of increasing the paramaters of the borders around the popup box in highslide? I have a large description to put under each image and widening the border will, in most cases negate the need for scrolling down to read it all. I'd probably get away with it as it stands but the text drops to the next line when it reaches the 'close X' and so gives a long narrow column. Thankyou.

I'm afraid that it can't be done.
The popup has a size proportional to the image inside it, so unless you load bigger images, the popup won't extend beyond the images size.

Hi and thanks for the reply, is there no way of altering the percentage? I'd be happy for it to expand on all sides if ness.

The size of the popup is dynamically created and assigned to each container (images and bottom with description and all) relatively to the images size. Also relatively with the size generated, the browser decides where to put the window.
There is no way you could bypass the size generated, and even if it you could it wouldn't have the right result, it would ruin the windows appearance. I'm sorry.

ok, thank you very much for replying anyway Yiota, very much appreciated.
One last thing, can the 'close' link be shifted from the bottom of image to the top to allow text to flow across full width of image?

I'm afraid that that can't be done either once the bottom container is dynamically created through javascript also.
Maybe you should try to change the popup engine to Greybox. I think it's the only one that has different layout that supports big text in description. Try it and let me know.

Thanks again for the reply, I've tried greybox and it is an option, the only problem is that it is white on black which I could live with but the major drawback is that when viewed on smaller screens the text drops down and runs over the image. Thanks anyway.
I think my only option is to insert a module into the html line inside the popup and under the description and create some sort of additional popup alongside the image. I tried to insert a search box module in there to access the data on site but haven't been able to make it work, a blinking cursor is the best I've managed so far and the box will not let me enter any text.
Inserting a link into the html line I've tried but it's not too slick and you exit the gallery every time and have to start again, help!
