Hi , we just loaded the Simple Image Gallery Pro 2.0.4  very pleased so far.  Loaded images to our gallery , ok  they work ok,  But having problems with the captions , We did find the labels.txt file in our gallery that was generated,  but where is the sample text? and how do you open this file to edit the captions?    images file permission set to 777 we have been going through the forums for three days , but no solutions ? www.hobblehill.com    go to photo gallery , thanks Dave

You have to download the labels.txt file for each gallery you have. Write the title of the image and the description and save it with UTF-8 encoding and upload it to the same location. It already has sample text inside so just replace that with what you want.

Hi Yiota ,  Success!  I did find the labels.txt files with the sample info . I did not know that there were "two" files that were generated by  SIG pro  . one in the media gallery and another on my desktop, that was the one with the sample data enclosed, that we could not find.  We uploaded all the info and the captions and titles work great!  all except the first image, cannot figure out why just that one. It seems that it doesn't have a title or description. Could you check on the file if something from the first line (which usually belongs to the first photo) is missing, like the photos file name mispelled or something else?

Hi , again Yiota, yes it worked ! here's what I did . In the labels.txt file I deleted the HTML and rewrote it again at the bottom , and somehow it picked it up there, go figure . anyway it worked great, all images have correct titles and captions!  Thanks for your help , Dave

has anyone else had problems with the system not generating labels.txt file for specific sub-galleries?

i installed the plugin PRO and the labels.txt files were not there. can i easily just create a txt file locally, name it labels.txt, then upload it to the corresponding image folder?

i answered my own concern by just flat out testing it. it works. even though i didnt find the labels.txt file. i just created one.
