My site is hosted by Siteground and therefore my websites files and folders are contained within the "public_html" folder. So instead of images/stories, it needs to be public_html/images/stories. However, when I try this I constantly get "image folder specified does not exist"....I have tried changing and tweaking the root numerous times and have tried every combination possible to no success. I also made sure I was not copying and pasting so the error is not there either.

I have the popup set to greybox and have tried them all to no success.

I changed ROOT to "public_html" and inserted

{gallery}images/stories{/gallery}
{gallery}images{/gallery}
{gallery}stories{/gallery}

So far, this is not so "Simple". Please help me find a solution to whatever might be wrong

@manin

You have totally misunderstand the use of SIG Pro. At the plugin parameters you have to put the path of the folder in which the folder images of your galleries exist. For example, let's say you want to have all the folders of all your galleries in images/stories/galleries. In the path of the plugin parameters you should put that path. Now let's say that inside the folder galleries you want to create another folder that is for a specific gallery, company for example. Inside the article you should write {gallery}company{/gallery}.

Once you have already stated the path of the galleries that will be static for all your galleries inside the plugins parameters, then you just put the folder that actually contains the images per gallery you want to call inside each article.

I hope I didn't confuse you  :)

I am having the same problem but not seeing this solve with the solution mentioned.  i have left the default images/stories parameter. created a new folder "hollywoodbowl" and placed my jpg images in the "hollywoodbowl" folder.  i have entered [gallery]hollywoodbowl{/gallery} in by page and get the error - Image folder specified does not exist!

I placed the path of my photos into Plug in parameters. In fact, I added a new folder called "galleries" in the stories folder. Just like your example. So my root folder path is images/stories/galleries. Inside the "galleries" folder I have 5 additional folders - each containing images. One of the folders is called "rearbackupwork". There are 4 images in this folder that should show up in the article.
I tried placing {galleries}rearbackupwork{/galleries} in the text area of the article without success.
I also tried using the "toggle editor" to place the {galleries}rearbackupwork{/galleries} in the html side of the article with no success.
What am I doing wrong?

So, @ricalien

You have set inside the plugin's parameters the path:images/stories and you have created inside that path a folder named "hollywoodbowl" which contains the images. You put the folder inside the gallery tags in an article and when you visit that article it gives you the image folder not exist message, right?

@ajvanart

You have also set inside the plugin's parameters the path:images/stories/galleries and you have created inside that path a folder named "rearbackupwork" which contain the images. You also put the folder name inside the gallery tags in an article and when you visit that article you get the image folder does not exist message too, am I right?
