OK number one - I am trying to load image description / product reference with each image but labels.txt isn't being created so it is kind of tough to edit - this isn't a permissions issue - currently all users have full access to the root image folder and sub folders (default image\stories is the root), I could create the file manually but this is a pain in the butt.

Secondly I need to up the load performance - is there a way to make the cache 'permanent' unless I manually refresh it - it is taking far too long between a user selecting the page and the page displaying on first access. The cache only needs updating if I modify the images so why delete it at all ??

(Platform is Joomla 1.5.14 under Wamp 2 with version 5.2.9.2 php)

LABELS ISSUE SORTED : If you have any template overrides that are set to display generic the file isn't created

Did you set the plugin parameter for the label before or after you created the folders with the images?

I didn't understand the cache is now On or Off to your site? What have you set to the global configuration?
