I installed SIG Pro but get 'image folder does not exist' in the article. I notice PHP GD needs to be installed to run SIG Pro but I'm not sure I have it running under my OS X 10.5.8. If this is the reason SIG Pro isn't working I'm concerned about getting PHP GD running. Looks like some advanced coding skills are needed based on forums I've read for installing this component.

My image folder path is listed correctly in the necessary places so I don't believe this to be the issue.  Also, I'm running on a local server.
Any ideas what the issue might be? And do I need PHP GD?

You definetly need the GD library running in order for the SIG Pro to work correctly. Also check if the images folders have the appropriate permissions.

I checked and I do have PHP GD enabled. I also was able to get images to show up in the article, but only if I place them in the root folder 'stories'. I've tried creating subfolders but the images when placed in the sub's stop displaying.

Current paths:

Global Config in Media Setting: Images/stories
SIG Pro Root folder for image galleries: Images/stories
Article: {gallery}::180:0:2{/gallery}

If I place images in a subfolder under 'stories' and update the article text to include the subfolder then images stop displaying. Any thoughts?

So if I have understood correctly you have set the path inside the plugin as images/stories. You then have a folder inside images/stories let's say gallery1 and you go to the article and set {gallery}gallery1{/gallery} and you don't see any image to the article?

That's correct. But if I leave the folder out it displays images in the folder at the root level defined in the other paths.

When I place a subfolder in the article text this is what I get, an empty article screen with this info in the screen tab:
localhost/productid/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&itemid=2.

Are you sure that the folders cache and images/stories have permissions?

Where is 'folders cache' located? Didn't know there was such a thing.

The cache folder is at the root of your site.

Also a quick way to clean it is through the joomla administration going to Tools->Clean Cache.

Yep, I've been doing that on a regular basis. Also, went to the cache folder directly and cleaned out any images that were in there. Still don't see the images in sub-folder. But, if I take the name of the sub-folder out of the tag in the article, then I get images in the root folder displaying.
