Hi,
I've been using the Simple Image Gallery plugin (the free version) without any troubles.  So I bought PRO for the additional capabilities.

I can't seem to sort out why when I enable the PRO version and try to load an article page on which I have a gallery placed, the page fails to load (blank white screen only).

Directory permissions perhaps?  root/cache folder is writable.  Are there other folders that need writable permissions as well?

What else could I be missing?

Thanks,
Mark

First of all provide us with a url to your site please.
Secondly, do you have both SIG and SIG pro in your site? Because the cannot work together. First uninstall SIG and then install SIG PRO...

Sure thing: www.adventureparents.com/ Although I've disabled PRO and left SIG enabled, so you won't see any issue with the galleries.

I wasn't aware I needed to uninstall SIG before installing PRO.  Since both are installed right now, I presume I should uninstall both and then install PRO again.  Right?

Let me do that first, then check for errors.  I'll be back ....

Thank you

First uninstall SIG and then install SIG PRO...

Okay, I've uninstalled both, and re-installed SIG PRO.  My problem remains.  Any page with a gallery in it won't load.  Example: www.adventureparents.com/adventure-galleries/road-trips-expeditions-adventures/144-photo-gallery-adventure-through-cochise-stronghold-.html

I'm thinking there's got to be a permissions issue on a folder somewhere.  Looking for advice.....

EDIT:
NEW info with error checking:
"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 964 bytes) in /home/.sites/111/site30/web/plugins/content/jw_sigpro/sigpro.engine.php on line 277"

Sure, I could change the php.ini file but I sense that's just a bandage (if that'd even work) since the SIG worked just fine.  8M of memory was plenty adequate.

Line 277 in sigpro.engine.php:
// create an image resource for the thumbnail
$thumb = imagecreatetruecolor($thumb_width, $thumb_height);

Any ideas?  Thanks

Thanks!

Thank you Katia.

It brings me a little pause to simply increase the memory limit because, as stated here , "Keep in mind that a huge memory limit is a poor substitute for good coding. A poorly written script may inefficiently squander memory which can cause severe problems for frequently executed scripts."

The gallery script is one that will be run on my site quite frequently.  Maybe there's more going on with the SIG PRO than I want.
