Ok. I have done some searching and haven't found and answer. If I overlooked it I apologize in advance.

I was initially using (might be an older version) simple image gallery and everything worked wonderful. Then decided we needed to change the image name that is displayed on the large image to a detailed description. I noticed that SIG Pro offered that out of the box so I purchased it.

That works great but now I cannot have the thumbnails display in sizes based on the original image, only in the same sizes. Am I missing something in the Pro version or is this not available?

I need the thumbnails to display in different sizes.

Go to the SIG PRO plugin parameters,
set the Fit thumbnails to available viewport?to No
set the Thumbnail cache expiration time to 0
save and then clean your joomla! cache.

After that go back to the SIG PRO plugin parameters and set the Thumbnail cache expiration time to 120 again.
