I am using single thumbnails for my galleries.  The one I want to appear first in the gallery (and as the thumbnail) I am naming a(imagename).jpg.  Even after doing this and making sure that the gallery order is set to alphabetical it still seems like the gallery is randomly choosing in what order images appear.

As my previously attached screenshot shows, I set my thumbnail cache down to zero already and I cleared out my browser cache.  It still shows the images in the wrong order.  Any other suggestions?

After much trial and error, I finally found something that did the trick.  I only used simple filenames without any numbers (a,b,c, etc.) and I changed the order from "alphabetical" to "default".
My images now appear in alphabetical order like they are supposed to.
