Change generic captions was created by arvendal
I am using SIG Pro with K2 and I would like to add an extra field to the informationn that's displayed in the generic caption, for example:

--- example begins ---

Navigation tip: Hover mouse on top of the right or left side of the image to see the next or previous image respectively.

You are browsing images from the article:
The Title of the K2 item
text from K2 extra field

Image # of ##

--- example ends ---

May I do this by some kind of hack, and where and how would it be done?

I'm afraid that this is not possible.

OK. But I really need to be able to automatically generate other info than page title from a K2 item. You see, I am implementing the K2 component on a magazine website and the publishers (there will be more than one working with the site) need to be able to add image galleries. And captions by a labels.txt file are too complicated. There are too many things that may go wrong - for example people will forget to save txt file in unicode and I don't want to give them ftp access to the site. Do you have another suggestion how to solve this problem? Maybe you can point me to the code in the PHP files where the generic caption is generated so I can have a look myself?
