I just bought the Simple Image Gallery Pro to use with the k2 component.

The problem i get is with the k2 image gallery uploader.

Nothing appears once its uploaded, All that appears is a tick box asking me if i want to delete these items.

All works ok using the standard tags in normal joomla articles.

see below:

www.laurencecorner.com/cms/blog

I have tried changing the location to media/k2/galleries, still doesn't work.

Any ideas would be great jason

Please check the size of the zip file you are trying to upload. Maybe it is too big...

The zip file is only 680k, the permissions are all correct. The installation information show my php upload limit is 24meg.

Also I have checked the upload location. The images do appear in the folder media/k2/galleries/2/hats etc

Have even changed the editor and zipped it on mac and pc This seems to a problem with lots of people!!

Anyone heard of a fix in k2 its self?

jason

I'm sure a few folk here are getting the same problem.

Seems so obvious once worked out really :)

1: So what I did was leave the gallery pro media location as images/stories.
2: The default location of your uploaded galleries will be set by the K2 component as media/k2/galleries

3: When you go to zip them make sure you don't put the images in a folder and then zip the folder as k2 will the put your images in a sub folder. if you look in the galleries folder it will look like this: media/k2/galleries/2/image1.jpg

4: The easiest way is to put the images in a folder, open the folder, then select the images by holding shift or select them all so they are highlighted, then right click and compress selected images. Seems obvious really.

Works on Mac and PC tested in Explorer, firefox and safari.

Voila :)
