Hello

It was working fine on local host, but now on net is not working anymore.

Inside folder stories i got the folders images as "web", for exemple.

I`ve changed the path on plug in (home/leandropdesign/www/images/stories) and try those solutions above but nothing solved:

forum.joomlaworks.net/simple-image-gallery-pro-%28plugin%29/%28solved%29-image-folder-specified-does-not-exist!-10494/

forum.joomlaworks.net/simple-image-gallery-pro-%28plugin%29/%28solved%29-image-folder-specified-does-not-exist!-help-please/msg39015/#msg39015

I`ve sent the user and login of my joomla administrator via e-mail (personal message) "Yiota" with tittle USER AND PASS LEANDROPDESIGN

The URL IS: www.leandropdesign.com
ADMINISTRATOR: www.leandropdesign.com/administrator

Could you help me with that, please?

Tks.

This seems like a permissions issue. Could you please check if all subfolders in images/stories that are used for the gallery are 755 or 777?
I also changed your path in the plugin to images/stories which is the correct path.

Hello Ylota

Thank you for fix the path. It was like this but i tried a complete path starting in home cause maybe it was the issue.

As you asked i changed the stories + images (and subfolders) + plugin + jw_sigpro (and subfolders) permissions to 777  and still not working.

I gonna send you by personal message the ftp sets when you can check it.

IMPORTANT: I made some changes on website menu (because it is public now) and you need to log in on public site to see the complete menu (CLICK ON US FLAG RIGHT TOP AND THEN LOGIN CLIENT).

To upload or modify on administrator you must to change the configuration.php permission to 777 first and later modify back to 644.

Thank you for support.

Having the same issue. . .I do have my site under another site, for example:  www.sitename.com/secondsite.

The site is it's own joomla installation so i don't think it's an issue, but it might be?  i have all the permissions set accordingly within that second site, but still having that 'image folder specified does not exist' error.

I also did an uninstall and reinstall of the plugin as well.

Here is the page you can view it all: weslopro.com/associates

Appreciate any help you can offer, love the plugin, just need to get it working!

Thanks,
nate

My site host made the "big"  favor to cancel my DNS at all. I am taking care about it and later i `ll back to try to solve the images. Do i need to open a new post or can i just type a new reply here?

Please if anyone here solve the issue, post here.

Thank you.

I had this same issue. Had the directory correctly identified in both the articles and the plug-in setup. I finally checked the debug button on the plug-in setup and went to the webpage and say an error message that said i needed to "install/enable the GD settings in PHP'. I use cPanel on a virtual dedicated server at godaddy and logged into the WHM panel.
I then had to recompile PHP to include GD (there was on option for this)
Go to: Software> Update Apache > check the "GD" box option

It took a while to recompile. Once i did that everything worked fine. i actually had the SIG plugin working fine on a shared godaddy hosting account. Then i moved to a virtual dedicated account, and also installed JMS multisite at the same time, so i had a few issues to deal with in the conversion process. It took me a while to sort thru the conversion issues and the learning curve with JMS. But now it is working great, this is an awesume plugin. Hope this helps.

After a long battle with my old host i decided to move it for another one. Now it is working as a charm as you can see here: www.leandropdesign.com.br

I believe that the markredmond9 post is correct and maybe that was its problem. Maybe that`s the reason in some hosts we got this issue.

For me the solution was move to another host.

Thank you for all evolved in this Topic.
