Plugin fails with HQ Pictures. was created by Frederic Hesse
I went pro because the free version is working fine but fails to create thumbs for large pixs (5MB).
The pro version is not able to do so even though it was advertized : "Large images can be resized in the popup window, when their dimensions exceed the ones of the browser window."

here is a link to my gallery , inside it there is a link to an High quality gallery and it's not displaying anything even with {gallery}MatrixHQ:200:260:1:0{/gallery}

low quality pix
hessegate.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=70%3Amatrix&catid=41%3Amypics&lang=fr
same pix , same names but in high quality
hessegate.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=69%3Amatrixxl&catid=41&lang=fr

I really need a way to display HQ pix !

help !

thanks

The second link leads to a blank page.
What is the size of the folder with the high quality photos?

that[s the problem it displays as blank but it[s not blank. it the same page just using 6mb pictures. The total size of the folder is irrelevant as even with one picture it fails. the high quality pictures are available at the bottom of the first page if you wish to reproduce it for testing.

The images are just huge...
The images on top of your site -that you may see with SIG PRO- are at about 50kb each one and the others at the bottom are about 5MB each one...

I know that he pictures are huge. Thus there is no size limitation written anywhere in the product documentation.

only the following:

"Large images can be resized in the popup window, when their dimensions exceed the ones of the browser window.

"

I bought the pro version only in the hope that this will be able to handle it. It dosent.

Improved performance in the thumbnail generation and caching engine. Generated thumbnails are now created faster and stored in Joomla's "cache" folder.

is that too muhc too ask to have a functionnal application, whatever your needs are ?

so basically, that's it ?

no support or patch on this product. It doesn't work as advertised and you will do nothing about it.

don't expect me to put a good product review on jommla extensions.

best regards.

fred

The maximum file size depends on the memory limit you have set inside php.ini file (server capability). The bigger the memory limit amount, the bigger filesize images you can upload.

i set the upload limit to 100mb but it dosnt solve anything. It's not that i can't upload the high quality pictures it that the tumb making just freezes the website.

You must upload the memory -not the upload - limit to 64M.
