Precursor: I have searched the site all morning for this problem, found many threads but haven't yet found a solution. I have modified file names, zipped drives, etc per previous posts.

I have the latest K2 version and the latest Simple Image Gallery Pro version installed. Parameter is set to images/stories per default. When I upload a zip folder, I get the text icon that link to the gallery located at the bottom of the page.

However, the gallery thumbnail is blank (thought it does show the caption). I am having this issue using the K2 image gallery tab but also if I input the [gallery][/gallery] code manually into my item.

Unfortunately I am experiencing similar problems with non-displaying thumbs. I have been through everything I can find on the subject, but with no success. I have set all the file/folder permissions to 755 using Filezilla, but when attempting to directly access a thumbnail image I receive a forbidden error;

hello all.. I also had this problem (images work when clicked, thumbnails dont show up) and couldnt find a solution. After some trial and error I figured it out and decided to post here in case it helps anyone...

im not sure if all of these steps are necessary to get it working, but here's what I did

go to the sig plugin and change your thumbnail quality to 80 - thats what it is in the jwsigpro.php file

using an ftp program, set your joomla cache folder permissions to 777

go into your folder, and find your images. they will have your filename, plus a prefix that is (presumably) generated by SIG >> something like jwsigpro_cache_myimage.jpg

change the permissions on the images inside the cache folder to 777 and click apply. do this for every image thats not showing up.

refresh the page.
