Last week I was having an issue that I have since resolved (thumbnails were not showing up, yet the gallery opened correctly). This was solved by my IT administrator removing some cache info in htaccess.

However, I'm having two new (though perhaps related) issues. When I upload a folder to images/stories (that's what the root is pointed to) and and give the {gallery}filename here{/gallery} code, I get this message: # Image folder specified does not exist!

The second issue is I am not getting anything to show up when uploading for K2's Image Gallery tab. Last week I wasn't having any problems (see example here: www.witf.info/tour - at the bottom of the story).

Now when I upload a gallery I get no errors, but nothing shows up on the frontend of my site and on the backend when I go the tab there is nothing there (though the check box to delete gallery is present).

I haven't changed any settings, my category settings all are set to show galleries.

Any help on these two similar problems?

First issue:
Are you absolutely sure that the path in the plugin is right? The folder with the images you have uploaded do they have appropriate permissions? (Check mostly the server user assigned to this folder and after the folder permissions).

Second issue:
If the K2 image gallery worked last week and not now, you should try to back-trace what changes you've been through, either installing something new (plugin,component,etc.) that might cause a conflict somehow or server changes.

Yiota: The path hasn't changed, it is pointed to: images/stories (within the plugin parameters)

The only changes made are installing a SEO plugin (JoomSEF), a Twitter plugin (RokTwittie) and changing the cache settings in htaccess to allow the thumbnail to display with the gallery. The gallery previously installed that wasn't showing the thumbnail works correctly with the htacess thumbnail cache being activated.
