I want to change CLICK_TO_ENLARGE text and make it in another language.
Is this possible?
And more general question.
I want to translate its some words. Like "NEXT, CLOSE, IMAGE"
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance...

It looks like the language file is missing. I cant find the en-GB ini file in the language folder. It is in the installation folder, but not on my site.
But in that file there are only Click_to_enlarge and not Next, prev etc.
Version 2.1

Hi.
To translate texts just copy the en-GB.plg_content_jw_simpleImageGallery.sys.ini file from the administrator/language/en-GB/ folder to your language's administrator/language folder. Then rename the file replaceing "en-GB" by the your language's code and edit (translate) the file content.
To translate some words, like "NEXT, CLOSE, IMAGE" you have to edit gif-images in the plugins/content/jw_simpleImageGallery/includes/slimbox-1.58/css folder.

But i cant seem to get the text strings to work.
It says CLICK_TO_ENLARGE just like when there are no language file or language string attached to the text. It also the case for JW_SIG_NAVTIP
This is for the en-GB
I have tried to translate the ini files to da-DK.plg_content_jw_simpleImageGallery.ini and the sys. But still no change.
So i think it is a bug in ver 2.1

You can verify that the ini files are placed correctly:

2.2 is now available.
I am also having this issue, and I am running SIG 2.2
I noticed that the language files weren't in the language folder, so I manually transferred them across, and CHMODd as 0644, but still having this issue... How do I fix this?

And as I said, I am running the latest version if SIG, so I cannot take your suggestion to upgrade to the latest...

If that doesn't work, consult your hosting company, cause sooner or later you WILL stumble into a weird situation with another component, related to permissions...

The problem obviously lies with wrong permissions... So installing the latest SIG version just won't override some files... I strongly suggest you download Admin Tools from akeebabackup.com and use the built-in function to repair permissions. Then install the latest SIG version.

Ahh, so you just copy & past other people's posts?

It is not "other people posts". It is my manager's post - the person who created SIG! So this is the most accurate answer to this thread and that is why I pasted here. The fact that you didn't have problem with permissions since now doesn't mean that you will never have. Follow Fotis advice and use Admin Tools. The fact that most people use SIG's latest version without any problem at all, means something!!!
Firstly, there is no need to yell. You seem to be yelling in all your posts, it's quite rude.
What I am saying is, I have a new, clean, freshly setup server, and brand new account on the server, and this ONE plugin won't work. I know enough about how things work to know that's just stupid. Joomla is able to read all the backend part of the Lang file, and not particular parts of the frontend??? It's the same file, if it was a permissions problem, I wouldn't be able to see the plugin correctly in the backend either

It was nothing to do with file permissions, and I still haven't determined the root cause, but it seems to be working okay.
I would suggest perhaps putting in a little more effort to help people next time, I was considering buying SIG Pro, but I think I would rather purchase from a real company, with staff that can understand English, and who know what they are talking about

Check your posts in order to verify who is polite and who isn't....
When you "determine the root cause" please post again...
Good luck with your puchases!
