I see that a lot of people have had the same issue on the forum here some time ago but none of the answers have solved my issue.

About a week ago the thumbnail images for simple image gallery stopped working on my site. The popup images work fine.

The owner/group of the file was incorrectly set to the server but I have had this changed by the host and all folder/file permissions seems correct.

The host did tell me that phosuexec was enabled on the server about the same time that this issue occurred but I'm not entirely sure it is realted. can anyone please help?

In order to make sure that your permissions are fixed in the right way, install Admin Tools from Akeeba Backup:

That was excellent advice. I installed Akeeba Tools, fixed all permissions and the issue was resolved instantly. I had thought the permissions were correct but manually checking them I obviously missed some.
