i'm working on a new 1.7 install and am using the free edition.  My photos show up as a list of photos instead of in the gallery.  If i click on one of them, it will then open the lightshow box and i can navigate between the photos.

This is due to your template css. The gallery displays in a column. So the images have not enough space to be shown in a row...

Thank you Katia.  Can all of them be shown as one image instead of many images at first?

The Single thumbnail mode option (in which you can only see one thumbnail and when you click on it you may see all the  images) is only included in SIG PRO parameters...
