Switched over from Ppgallery to Simple Image Gallery because I really enjoy the extensions provided by JoomlaWorks.
I did some searching and found a couple others who had this issue, but both were in Joomla 1.5 (back in 2009 and 2010).  The fixes were different, and neither worked in my Joomla 2.5 install.

In Firefox and IE, the bullets are at the top right of each thumbnail, inside the image border...kinda hard to see, but they are there.
But in Chrome they are plain as day out in the open above each thumbnail.

Also in Firefox and IE, the very top of the thumbnails are cut off.  But that isn't an issue in Chrome for some reason.

I am using an Artisteer template.

Any help/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm picky about crap like this and it's driving me nuts.  :D

This is a css conflict with your template.
Bullets comes from this css styling:

    font-size: 0;
    line-height: 0;
    margin-right: 6px;
    position: relative;
    vertical-align: middle;
}

So contact your template provider and ask him to help you out.
