A new version of Simple Image Gallery was announced in Joomla backend (v2.5.11) and I just clicked the box and clicked update. An error came upIt seemed to have installed anyway but it was not activated so I activated it and deactivated the old one and the old image galleries seemed to work. Ok, fine...
Logged out and, after a while, logged in again and there it was once more...same version 3.0 was again announced as new update in Joomla. Ok, something is wrong here, followed the link to your website and saw that the old version should be uninstalled too. That info should have been in the text that comes up with installation of 3.0. Proceeded to uninstall the old version (don't know what version number it is?) and there were two errorsThose files do not exist but files with similar namesdo exist. I take it these files should be manually deleted? The old version has disappeared from the list of Joomla extensions so it is supposedly uninstalled...?

Well, sort of messy install/uninstall procedure but good extension.

Thanx for quick reply. But, there is still something...
I have this developer installation where stuff is tested etc and then the real installation (it's probably a common setup). So, there still was a Simple Image Gallery v3.0 under the Discover tab in Extensions Manager, for some reason(?), and in the developer site I was stupid enough to just select it and click Install. Not good... There were loads of errors (which didn't get saved) but now I have a _jw_sig in the plugins and it can't be uninstalled, these errors pop up when I try:It's some sort of junk plugin that can't be removed. When selected in the plugin list it gives an errorStill the image galleries work. I have just left it in the real site, it is a selectable option in Discover there too, but I hope you tell me how to remove it without "side effects".
