JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder was created by borsTiHD

Hello,

I got a problem after I installed SIG. Only installed and activated SIG over my backend.
Tryed to integrated a gallery, but it didn't worked.

I got this error message:

JFolder: :files: Der Pfad ist kein Ordner! Pfad: /homepages/13/d162906807/htdocs/borsti_hp/images/gallery/09.07.13_-_Rainbow_Dash_Wallpaper

There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: images/gallery/09.07.13_-_Rainbow_Dash_Wallpaper

I understand this error, but this must be the right path to my folder, because I copied the path out of my ftp-programm.

Complete path in my ftp-programm:

/borsti_hp/images/gallery/09.07.13_-_Rainbow_Dash_Wallpaper/rainbow_dash_wallaper_1_v3.png

My "cache" folder got "755" chmod and I gave it also to the "gallery" folder and subfolders.
My Joomla is the latest version (I hope): 3.1.5
And SIG is: 3.0.0

Is there something wrong I oversaw?

If your server's "owner" permissions for files are not properly setup, in other words, if Joomla cannot perform read/write operations via PHP, then it will not work properly. Contact your hosting company and ask them to fix any "owner" related permission issues.

Also, if you are using Admin Tools, check the HTACCESS maker since it disallows access to directories. In this case, it won't allow the plugin to directly access the /cache/jw_sigpro directory.
Add that to the exceptions in the HTACCESS maker and check again.

Hello,

thanks for ur response :)
How could I test if joomla have writing rights over php?
Joomla didn't showed me an error since I installed it (my joomla is very new, maybe a few weeks old?).

Also, I have not so many plugins installed, especially no "Admin Tools". :-\
Should I install it?

You can see the permissions for your files/folders through System Information.
You need to put the correct permissions for the cache/jw_sig folder.
Then try to rename your image folder avoiding any special characters (%, ?, ., etc.)

I'm very grateful that you try to help me. :)

Did you mean over the backend?
I found that:
(Beschreibbar = writable, Schreibgeschützt = read-only)

I don't know why!!!
But it works now. :)
I uninstalled the plugin and installed again.
Set again the rights (but 777) and now it works. :D
