I'm a little perplexed. Is there a solution to the issue concerning the popup window not working ....I tried to disable the Joomla system plugin to no avail.  I'll give you access to my backend if necessary.

Usually it is cause because of a javascript conflicts. More than one jQuery libraries is loading in page.
Did you try to Disable the jQuery library through the plugin parameters?

Well, I tried the disabling of the Jquery...the system jquery and vice-versa with disabling the SIG plugin Jquery - nothing...
