gallery thumbnails not visible was created by steve10001

Hiya, my host has changed the permissions for the sites cache to 777, but i still cant see any thumbnails.
Obviously i have done something wrong, so can someone give me a step-by-step of what to say to my host?

as it stands now, i can see empty thumbnails, but if i click on one, the image appears.

This is a notice, not an error. The problem is with "file ownership" issues. The "file permissions" may be 777 (which is bad btw), but the owner is probably not PHP and therefore the extension cannot create and store the thumbnails in your cache folder. Your hosting company should repair "file ownership" issues in your site, otherwise Joomla won't work properly.

I have a problem with the images in archived articles. Only this is showing

{gallery}lopende_projecten/Klifrak{/gallery}

Is there a way to solve this?
