Hi, I was wondering if anyone had worked out how to add a pinterest hover button to the images?

Hi. Please take a read at the documentation at www.joomlaworks.net/support/docs/simple-image-gallery under the section "MVC TEMPLATING: THE POWER TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR GALLERY LAYOUT". Then you can add whatever code you want to your template to achieve what you want.

Im not modifying the template. I want to add a pinterest hover button to the image on popup.

I have added code to the places you repointed me to and I did read the document on modifying the template before posting here. May be I should have pointed that out to you. Im sorry.

No. There is no pinterest button in pro version.

Nah it doesnt appear possible with this plugin.

What did you end up using?

I gave up. Doesnt look like you can have a popup gallery with pinterest.

If you find something id love to see how it works.

In order to add anything in the popup you need to hack the Fancybox javascript file. Alternatively you can add the code to the override as i told you in the image description. The descriptions are hold into the title attribute of the links. You can look at the code at github.com/joomlaworks/simple-image-gallery/blob/master/plugin/jw_sig/tmpl/Classic/default.php#L20 . There you can place HTML. Of course if the button requires also javascript code it will not work.

I have found a way to do this.

If you use Swipebox you can add HTML to the description so you add the button generated here business.pinterest.com/en-gb/widget-builder#do_pin_it_button

There may be other style options for that allow this.

I need to use swipebox style as I need touch sensative for responsive website.

Only problem is that the HTML does not display on mobile devices, but it does work well on desktop!!

Dear all I have just discovered that my solution does NOT work. It displays the pinterest logo which works to a point but when ypou try to add to a board you get the following error messge.

You need to upload an image or provide the 'image_url' parameter

So I'm back to square one, has anyone found a way to do this? Most commercial site using galleries will want to share images on pinterest so must be a common problem.

Please help!
