On the page the plug-in show the shortcode. I can't see the gallery.

Hi. This depends what you are using to display the video. Do you use a module? A component? The extension you are using needs to support content plugins parsing.

I download the plug in from: www.joomlaworks.net/extensions/free/simple-image-gallery. I installed it, configured it, put the images on the folder and insert the shortcode on article.

Is there a link to the article with the gallery? Is the plugin configured properly? You can always refer to the documentation at www.joomlaworks.net/support/docs/simple-image-gallery .
