a stupid beginners questions :'( what do I do wronmg when installing simple image gallery in joomla 1.5 activated legacy mode , activating the plug in and when entering

{gallery}folder  {/gallery}

in the script of an articel or any content it does not show any thumbnails or pictures but instead only the simple text "{gallery}folder  {/gallery}"

Do you put the tag in the text editor or in html? Either way it doesn't work for me.
