photos don't show up when clicking on thumbnails was created by StefanObenauer
Hi,

I have the thumbnails displayed on my page. When clicking on them it only darkens the screen and opens a white box with the little clock-face in the center, but does not show the photo.

Permissions are all 755; besides the photos which are 644, but I changed it and it did not resolve it

Photos are in a folder under root and /images/stories/Gallery_StefanObenauer/g2data/albums/PPGPics/2005/Sep/

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Stefan

I am seeing the same problem (in firefox) but sometimes after clicking through a bunch of photos, they will suddenly start to show up and will continue to do so unless the page is reloaded.

I tried clearing the cache, but that did not affect it.

This problem occurs in folders with only a small number of photos, so I don't believe it to be a loading issue.

I resolved the problem...sort of. I had used windows to rename a batch of files.  It puts parentheses in the file name.  As long as the program was only accessing these "malformed" names, the photos did not display.

When it reached a photo without parentheses in the filename, it displayed the photo and would subsequently display even photos with malformed filenames.

Changing the photo filenames to be without parentheses resolved the problem.

All photos seem OK now.

So look for strange filenames if you see this problem.

I am experiencing this issue with IE6 ONLY
Click on the thumbnail and the lightbox opens (very slowly!) and the picture doesn't display.  Filenames are ok, nothing weird in them......Any solution?

Hi there!
Αpology for the delay!  :-[

Can you give me a link to see the problem please ( the link you gave doesn't have the gallery now ). Or create a test item-page with the gallery to see the problem if you don't want to do tests at the current pages!
Also please, tell me what version you use, and under what server ( linux, windows, etc )!

Thank you!

@dax702 can you give us also a link to see the problem? Thank you!

Oddly enough, I just went to the SIG on another computer with IE6 and all the pictures displayed fine.  So it appears it was only on that one computer, perhaps a messed up IE6 installation.  Haha, that's redundant - messed up and IE6  ;D  I'll try messing with the laptop to figure out what went wrong with it..
