I installed SIG earlier today and ran into the issue many of you already encountered and few were able to solve. This is the problem: the tag {gallery}folder{/gallery} will not show pictures in a content page. Only the tag is returned.

This issue was already reported a zillion times on the forum, going back to 2007. Why is it so difficult to post a solution / approach to solve?
Why is the development team not responding?

I understood a couple of things need to be checked:
- the installation of the plugin --> ok, no missing files or whatsoever;
- plugin published --> ok
- permissions of the image folders --> ok
- image folder contains images --> ok
- using the right path --> ok, I'm definitly not using images/stories/etc
- GD and jpg support enabled --> ok

Dear development team, sales team, marketing team, may I kindly urge you to reply promptly and post an answer to this issue?

I too  have tried all sorts of things, in addition, I am using the latest Joomla 1.5.2 in legacy mode 1.0 and SIG 1.2.1

Is there any other info that you need?
When I read the posts, I does seem (not sure) that some people seem to have made it work, but I simply do not understand. Is any person that can explain in simple words what you have done?

im in with this aswell, i unfortunately dont have money to throw away on stuff like this so if i have had no contact from Joomlaworks i will be raising a dispute with paypal as i really can afford to spend the money and not get what is promised, i have posted just about every bit of info i can about my problem to even make it easier for them

i really just want this to work becsue it looks good when you look at there demo site but i am slightly worried that what we see is not the product we buy as they have stopped you being able to view the source of the page (went to look so i could compare my code with theres)

It seems a lot of people are having the {gallery}folder{/gallery} showing up as copy instead of images.

If you have tried the standard 'fixes' then you might want to try this...

In your template html add <jdoc:include type="component" /> where your copy should show up.

My issue was that I was trying to render the article text using a module.  Instead, I realized that my navigation was linking to the corresponding article and by clicking the navigation the article text should be displayed.  Being a noob to Joomla, I didn't realize that the component would render this text for me.  (in short, if you are using an "article layout", don't display the content of it using a module. You don't have to. Use the above code).
