Has anyone ever experienced this?

I have several .jpg's which contain pitch black backgrounds to them and when the images are displayed in the slimbox through IE7 white artifacting (white pixels everywhere) appears in random locations on the images.  Anybody have any ideas on this?

Firefox has no such problems, so I'm guessing its not the images themselves...

I do have exactly the same problem as you describe: in parts of a picture that are entirely black, there are those ugly white artifacts. No problem in Firefox.

If anyone has found a solution, I would love to hear that.

Thanks for your attention.

I downloaded the simple gallery last week and love it.
But the random white pixels in dark areas in IE6 and IE7 are reason for me not to use this plugin anymore.
I've googled extensively and apparently this is fixed in the most recent version of MooTools. Maybe the simple gallery folks could update their mootools.js?
