Cannot uninstall SIG was created by newguy
I have been a problem in using SIG. My site simply displays the code {gallery}...{/gallery} and not the actual image.
So i've tried to uninstall the plugin but the following message was displayed:
Plugin Uninstall: Manifest File invalid or not found
Can anyone help me with either of these issues?
thanks in advance.

Hi,
I had the same problem. I think the issue came about because I uploaded my database from local to remote server, but forgot to install the SIG pro extension before uploading the database.
I tried uninstalling, as well as deleting files through the cpanel file manager with no luck.
In the end, I opened up the database on the remote server through phpMyadmin clicked the browse icon by the jos_plugins text, located the sig pro plugin and deleted it.
Once deleted from the databse, I succesfully installed sig pro, and it now seems to be working fine.
Hope this helps...

If that doesn't work - sometimes something as simple as the loading order of plugins can affect whether or not one works.
If you have a plugin that 're-formats' or 're-interprets' your entire article (such as some comment or bookmarks plugins) you may want to try moving SIG up in order, in the plugin list, so it loads first.

Plugin Uninstall: Manifest File invalid or not found
Can I remove the "jwsig" manually?
