SIG conflict with Google Maps was created by Klaas
Hello,
Thank you for developing the nice Gallery plug in.
It looks great on my site.
I have got only one problem, it is conflicting with this Google maps plug in I am using:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/images-&-multimedia/maps/1147/details
Unfortunately I need both plug ins for my site.
Somebody did take a look at both of them and told me that the SIG extension "loads mootools inside the body of the page. This should not be loaded because it's already loaded (by Google maps plug in) and it should not be loaded in the body of the page. The SIG plug in should load script and links in the header and check if they don't exists".
When you agree with this, you can maybe use that for the next update?
Do you (or anybody from the forum) know a work around for me in the mean time?
Thanks and best regards,
Klaas

Hello,
I'm having the same problem. The SIG and Google Maps plugins are both very good, it's a shame there's some sort of conflict. I've created an Indian takeaway site and having the SIG for showing the food and the Google map for directions is very handy.
Is this an easy bug fix?
Thanking you in advance,
Paul.

Unfortunately Simple Image Gallery plugin conflict with Google Maps plugin but with SIG PRO you don't have such a problem because you 'll have many option among different pop up engines that will not conflict with Google maps.

I can confirm that 3 of the 5 options work together with the google maps plugin.

I am using SIG Pro & JMap Advanced Google Map Plugin www.joomify.com/joomla-development/free-joomla-extensions/jmap-advanced-google-maps-plugin-for-joomla
They work together. I am having a problem with the text showing up very feint in both of them but I think it is a problem of the extensions using the template css.
