Symptom:  Thumbnails are generated in a vertical line jammed against the left margin and stacked tightly on one another with no space between. No main image, no borders, no icons are visible. When the thumbs are clicked they pop another page open with the full size image.

The gallery of about 8 images is installed in a published article not on the front page. Images have been scaled to a maximum of 600 pixels wide and max 480 tall.

I've tried using all the different popups - Slimbox, Thickbox, Greybox and Lytebox - and the results are the similar. Possibly relevant is that I also tried VERY S I G plugin with similar results.

CMS: Joomla 1.5.8
Template: Versatility4
Other plugins: RokNewsRotator so presumably mootools is active.

I'm a Joomla novice but not a virgin, this is my fourth completed site. Any thoughts on conflicts, workarounds, other galleries?
