All:

I have the same issue with the images displaying at the top of the page in IE 6. I did remove the

echo '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="'. $iso[1] .'"?' .'>';

line and it actually works and looks awesome BUT it totally hoses my page display, all my modules are messed up.

(btw, the line 6 css file remove "position:relative" suggestion did not work for me)

So does anyone have a suggestion for another xml version declaration that will make my page work again? I'm using a joomlart.com template ("ja_hadar").

Fantastic Bot, if only it worked for me...

Well I did remove the joomla code but did otherwise than suggested in other threads. I put the following xml declaration to the template and voila. All worked like out of the box.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
