There is probably a javascript conflict. Try changing the popup engine to JQuery and let me know of the results.

Did you try to put the gallery to a new article to be on it's own and see what happens?

I'm sorry to say this but the SIG free version is not currently supported in K2. A new version will be released shortly so you will have to wait or buy the Pro version or read below at K2 Community to search for a solution.
